In February, FirstPathway Partners’ COO, Dan Wycklendt, visited India to spread awareness of the United States’ EB-5 program.
Faith Greene, Communications Associate at FirstPathway Partners, interviewed Dan about his recent trip.
Q: What was the purpose of the trip?
A: The purpose of the trip was to raise awareness of the EB5 program in India.
Q: What were some of the highlights of the trip?
A: The highlight of the trip was the large number of Indian Investors excited about opportunities to invest in the United States and, in the process, obtain a green card for them and their family. India has over a billion people and there has been a large amount of wealth created in the past decade. The awareness of the EB5 program in India is growing and these wealthy people are showing up in great numbers to express their interest in obtaining that access to the US.
Q: With whom did you meet?
A: I met with hundreds of potential investors that wanted to learn more about what the EB5 program had to offer them and their families. Many people were present with their children to discuss their desire to have their children experience life and education in the United States.
Q: What did the trip accomplish?
A: The trip raised awareness of the EB5 program and the successful track record of FirstPathway Partners. With the cancellation of the Canadian Federal Investor Program, we were able to attract Indian Investors interested in migrating to a new country, aware of what the US program has to offer for them and their family, and how the EB5 program functions.
Q: Overall thoughts on the trip/future goals?
A: The Indian market has had a lot of experience with similar green card/permanent residency programs in other countries, but the US program has not been presented to them properly in the past. By giving a concise explanation of the program and the opportunity, the increased awareness is fueling demand for the program in India.
