September 13, 2019 – FirstPathway Partners had the honor of having Edward Beshara, Managing Parter of Beshara Global Migration Law Firm, to discuss the future of the EB-5 program and other immigration visa opportunities.
Future of the EB-5 Program – Ed Beshara
The EB-5 Category is still a ‘certain predictable category’ for foreign nationals to obtain US Permanent Residency for themselves, spouse, and minor children, in usually a faster time than some other EB categories. However, for this ‘predictability’ to occur, our experienced team of professionals, feasible and viable projects, managers and operators with expertise are required. With the new EB-5 regulations taking effect after November 21st, the minimum investment will increase to $900,000 (TEA and rural) to $1.8 million (non-TEA or non-rural). It is not certain, but assumed, the price increase will reduce the number of investors; which will lead to a reduction in time delays (retrogression) for investors from countries where demand is high. Potentially, less investors can lead to more visa numbers available for popular EB-5 countries.
