The magazine highlights some of the hotel's most appealing features: its carefully selected decor, including "stunning overhead lighting and chevron ceiling panels"; Tre Rivali, the onsite Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, which is spearheaded by celebrity chef, Heather Terhune; and the unique indoor/outdoor rooftop bar, which provides guests with and unparalleled view of the downtown Milwaukee area and lakefront.
Morgan Halaska of Meetings + Events Magazine notes, "While all Kimpton hotels are unique—reflecting the story and character of each respective city—there's one thing they all have in common: happy hour. Hotel staff hosts a happy hour every day, serving wine and, in Milwaukee's case, beer, pizza and flatbreads from the kitchen. Kimpton guests certainly feel like they're at home while away—better, even. The pet-friendly Journeyman lends out bikes and leather backpacks free of charge, allowing guests to explore the city like a local. Even mornings are bustling in the lobby, with a coffee bar serving Colectivo in the morning and guests staying to enjoy a cup or two in front of the fireplace, just as if they were in their own living room."
This FirstPathway Partners project opened on June 30, 2016, just in time for Summerfest, the world's largest outdoor music festival. The 158-room boutique hotel is situated in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward neighborhood, an area of the city booming with art galleries, restaurants, and boutiques. It's just blocks away from the lakefront and thriving downtown nightlife. Other amenities at the hotel include a living-room style sitting area, lobby bar, fitness center, business center, and luxurious bedding.
