Officials from the Midwest Energy Research Consortium (M-WERC) came together recently in an effort to strategize opportunities to commercialize technology in some of the following areas: emerging materials and science, information and communication engineering, robotics engineering, and energy systems engineering.
Kraft spoke at the event, stressing the importance of cooperation between the City of Milwaukee, WEDC, and FirstPathway Partners in strengthening ties to Korea. The EB-5 program has proved to be an effective tool for building business relationships and FirstPathway Partners looks forward to further developing its ties with Korea. "We are honored to be asked to address the delegation as an important part of the community's business leadership", said Kraft.
Representatives from the Korean government-funded researching university, Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST) were present. DGIST has been instrumental in designing innovative programs for teaching and supporting entrepreneurship.
“It’s certainly of interest for a number of our member companies to enhance our relationships with foreign companies to commercialize technology in our region,” said M-WERC CEO and Executive Director Alan Perlstein.
