Wednesday, February 9, 2022 - U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced the agency’s new mission statement.
The 2022 mission statement sets the tone for new Director Ur M. Jaddou’s vision and priorities for the agency under the leadership of the Biden Administration. From day one the Biden Administration has sought to restore humanity and American values to our immigration system.
Critics of the agency have disparaged its performance. This mission statement renews USCIS’ commitment to delivering decisions to families on their applications, petitions, requests, and appeals, following the Biden’s Executive Order 14012, Restoring Faith in Our Legal Immigration Systems and Strengthening Integration and Inclusion Efforts for New Americans.
USCIS administers such EB-5 applications as I-526, I-829, I-485, and others for immigrant investor petitioners. EB-5 Stakeholders applaud this revitalized enthusiasm to welcome and serve immigrants.
“The work of USCIS makes the possibility of America a reality for immigrants, the communities and economies they join, and the nation as a whole. At USCIS, we know that every time we grant an immigration or naturalization benefit, we are fostering the opportunity to help us build a stronger America. And when we offer refuge to those in need of protection we are living up to our nation’s highest ideals.
“USCIS is committed to ensuring that the immigration system we administer is accessible and humane. As we look towards the future, my commitment will remain the same – USCIS will continue to serve the public with respect and fairness, and lead with integrity to reflect America’s promise as a nation of welcome and possibility today and for generations to come.” Ur M. Jaddou, Director of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.
