Tuesday, August 25, 2020 – U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) has announced cancellation of a planned furlough of over 13,000 employees, which would have begun next week. This furlough would have severely immobilized the U.S. legal immigration system and therefore the economic aid that it continues to provide.
USCIS continues to further their mission of adjudication of EB-5 petitions and proceeds in case processing. The speed of future operations remains unclear post-furlough aversion, however, the EB-5 immigration industry is eager to continue working with USCIS staff to bring foreign investment to the USA through the EB-5 program.
