Last month, IIUSA Board of Directors had a substantive and productive meeting with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director, L. Francis Cissna, USCIS Policy Director, Kathy Nuebel Kovarik, and Immigrant Investor Program Office (IPO) Chief, Sarah Kendall.
USCIS and IIUSA leadership addressed several EB-5 industry issues including a growing EB-5 visa backlog and concerns and lack of clarity on redeployment options. To assure transparency, the meeting was recorded and posted on the USCIS website’s “Reading Room” page which is now available. You can read the full transcript here.
Kraft, who helped lead the discussion provided the following statement to Director Cissna, "We really appreciate this opportunity to begin a dialogue in the spirit of improving the program. It's a great program. It's had a huge economic impact on the country. If it's properly administered and properly managed from our standpoint, together we can make this even better."
On Monday, October 29th, IIUSA members and attendees of the IIUSA & AILA EB-5 Industry Forum in Chicago, IL continued this discussion as IIUSA welcomes IPO Chief Sarah Kendall as a keynote speaker. You can explore the AILA AGORA Digital Library to review presentation materials and attendee lists.
