Stonehouse Water Technologies LLC, a growing Milwaukee startup, recently announced it raised $1.55 million in funding to support its water purification product line. Stonehouse, founded in 2012, is developing a water purification system to be launched commercially in the spring. The $1.55 million will help support production and add two new staff members to the small startup. The water purification system will be sold in three main markets: private wells, new home construction, and agriculture. Lead investor Mark G. Sellers said: “Stonehouse’s technology and team represents Milwaukee’s strong expertise in water, manufacturing, and growing technology industries.” Stonehouse was part of the Water Council's pilot program that supports new water technologies. They currently operate out of offices in the Global Water Center - a FirstPathway Partners project that continues to create new jobs and opportunities for advanced innovation.
