Wednesday, September 9, 2020 – Milwaukee’s newest addition, and FirstPathway Partner’s most recently completed project, the BMO Tower, held its ceremonial opening alongside city officials, Real Estate Developer - Irgens, and Mayor Barrett. Although the tower welcomed tenants in April, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the official ribbon cutting was finally enjoyed on Tuesday.
"The BMO Tower is a splendid addition to Milwaukee's downtown, and the company's Wisconsin headquarters adds a contemporary aesthetic to the City Hall neighborhood," Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett said. "Even more importantly, BMO has solidified its presence in our downtown, bringing jobs and economic activity to the center of our community."
Located at 790 N. Water Street, the state-of-the-art 25-story building is comprised of commercial offices, retail spaces, and enclosed parking. The Class-A office tower offers panoramic views of downtown Milwaukee and Lake Michigan through floor to ceiling windows and flexible column-free tenant spaces. Showcased throughout the building are works of local artists and iconic images of the city. The building has 379,637 square feet of space and serves as BMO Financial Group’s Wisconsin Headquarters, future home to its approximately 600 employees. The tower is located directly adjacent to the historic city hall and BMO’s previous headquarters. The building is also home to Michael, Best & Friedrich LLP, a national US law firm and Heartland Advisors, with Andrus Intellectual Property Law LLP and Fiddleheads coffee moving in later this year.
