USCIS Releases 2016 Q2 Adjudication Statistics

I-526 and I-829 petition data extracted from April-June was recently analyzed and published by USCIS. This information includes statistics on petitions received, approved, denied, and pending.
 
Some highlights of the findings:
 
I-526 petitions
During April-June, there was a drastic (86%) decrease in I-526 filings compared to last quarter, with only 848 I-526 petitions filed in Q2. This filing volume represents the lowest since 2011.
There was a significant (75%) increase in the number of I-526 approvals since Q1. A total of 1,864 I-526 petitions were approved in Q2, accounting for $932 million in FDI.
637 I-526 petitions were denied--the second highest in Program history.
There was an 8% decrease in the total number of pending petitions. 
I-829 petitions
There were 845 I-829 petitions filed in Q2, equaling a 20% increase in a year over year comparison. 
A whopping 421 I-829 petitions were approved during this quarter. Approvals have returned to historical levels after a large increase last quarter.
The approval rate decreased slightly from the last quarter to 97%.
Over 4,700 petitions were pending with USCIS, an 11% increase from last quarter and a 34% increase in a year over year comparison.
